EXPLORING FROM THE GREEN OASIS CAMPGROUND

RED GULCH DINOSAUR TRACKSITE - See footprints of three-toed dinosaurs that are at least 165 million years old.  Take Highway 14 East of Greybull to the Red Gulch/Alkali National Back Country Byway.  The site is approximately 5 miles south on the byway.

MEDICINE WHEEL - Hike to the ancient sacred and ceremonial site built approximately 200 years ago by indigenous Native Americans. Follow Highway 14 East and take alternate route 14A toward Lovell.

CHIMNEY ROCK -  See a landmark formed from red Chugwater sandstone that looks similar to a chimney while on your way to the Shell Canyon on Highway 14.

DEVIL'S KITCHEN - 5 miles east of Greybull

MIDWAY GOLF CLUB - 5 miles South of Greybull off US Highway 16 and 20 (March through early November).

BIGHORN MOUNTAINS - 30 miles

SHELL CANYON / SHELL FALLS - 30 miles

CODY, WYOMING - 50 miles

HOT SPRINGS in Thermopolis, Wyoming - 70 miles south of Greybull on US Highway 20.  See Day Trips for more information.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK - 100 miles

RED LODGE, MONTANA - 127 miles

COOKE CITY, MONTANA - 192 miles
